What Parts of the Bible are True?
Living Like the Bible Is All True
A call to rebuild belief in a time of compromise
What parts of the Bible are true?
That question is the line in the sand. It's not a theological curiosity. It's a spiritual battlefield.
If all of Scripture is not true, then none of it is trustworthy. If it is all true—as it claims to be—then we are accountable. We must submit, not negotiate.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God…” (2 Tim. 3:16)
Cultural Christianity Has Lied to Us
Nearly 70% of Americans claim the name “Christian.”
But how many live like the Bible is true?
Not many.
We believe in God’s love but ignore His holiness.
We like Jesus as Savior, not so much as Lord.
We want grace but bristle at repentance.
We’re comfortable, not crucified.
This isn't faith. It's fantasy.
“They profess to know God, but deny Him by their works…” (Titus 1:16)
Time to Build Again
Revival won’t start with crowds. It starts with conviction.
With a few people—humble, hungry, and honest enough to say:
“We have not lived like it’s all true. But starting now—we will.”
A small group. A seed. A fire.
Here’s the path forward—ten essential truths we must walk through if we’re going to rebuild the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
1. The Word is True or Nothing Is
Start with the foundation.
If we don't trust the Bible fully, we will trust it selectively.
And selective faith is no faith at all.
“Forever, O Lord, Your word is firmly fixed in the heavens.” (Psalm 119:89)
We don't stand above the Word. We stand under it.
2. The Gospel: We Need Rescue
The Gospel isn't just a helpful idea. It's a lifeline.
We're not mistakers in need of correction—we're sinners in need of mercy.
“For the wages of sin is death…” (Romans 6:23)
“There is salvation in no one else…” (Acts 4:12)
Without the cross, we’re condemned.
If the Gospel isn’t true, then nothing matters.
If it is, then nothing else matters more.
3. Pride Is the Root
Pride doesn't just make us arrogant. It makes us blind.
The original sin wasn’t murder or theft—it was pride.
Satan fell by it. Adam sinned by it. We justify ourselves with it.
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)
Until pride dies, repentance can't live.
4. Repentance Is Not Optional
Salvation isn’t just agreeing with truth. It’s turning from sin.
The cross doesn’t just forgive—it transforms.
“Unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3)
True faith turns.
Turns from sin. Turns to Christ.
No repentance, no salvation.
5. The Holy Spirit Is Real
We don’t just need better behavior. We need new birth.
The Spirit is not a vague force. He is a Person, indwelling every believer.
“If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.” (Romans 8:9)
If you can live the Christian life without the Holy Spirit,
you’re not living the Christian life.
6. Obedience Is Proof
We are not saved by works—but we are saved unto good works.
Real faith results in real obedience.
“If you love Me, keep My commandments.” (John 14:15)
Obedience doesn’t earn salvation—it reveals it.
7. Love the Lord Your God
Not casually. Not occasionally.
Completely.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart…” (Matt. 22:37)
Love that costs nothing, proves nothing.
We are called to wholehearted, burning, jealous love for God.
Half-hearted devotion is spiritual adultery.
8. Seek First the Kingdom
We’re told to “seek first” the Kingdom—not “fit it in” when we can.
Kingdom-first means everything else is second.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness…” (Matt. 6:33)
That applies to:
Our time
Our money
Our decisions
Our families
What we seek first is what we worship.
9. The Fear of the Lord
We fear embarrassment more than sin.
We fear losing comfort more than grieving the Spirit.
But Scripture says:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom…” (Prov. 9:10)
We are not called to a flippant, casual walk with God.
We are called to holy fear, trembling, and awe (Phil. 2:12).
It’s time we regained the fear of the Lord.
10. Heaven and Hell Are Real
Jesus spoke more of hell than heaven.
Why? Because He came to save us from it.
“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (Matt. 25:46)
Heaven is not a fairy tale.
Hell is not a metaphor.
Eternity is not a game.
If we believed this—really believed it—we would live differently.
We would love boldly. Warn urgently. Preach faithfully.
The Time Is Now
We don’t need more casual Christianity.
We need courageous, convicted, crucified Christianity.
Start with a small group. One room. Ten lessons. One Book.
Let the Spirit convict. Let the Word speak. Let pride die.
And let us begin to live like the whole Bible is true.
“Choose this day whom you will serve.” (Joshua 24:15)
Let that be the theme.
Let it start with us.
