The Birth of Sin

Lesson 5: Birth — When Sin Shows Up in the Open
“Then desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin…” — James 1:15
It Was Hidden… Now It’s Born
What you hid in your heart
has now stepped into daylight.
What started as a thought
is now a deed.
Sin is no longer a desire.
It’s a decision in action.
You Didn’t Stumble Into It
You walked there.
Step by step.
Thought by thought.
Excuse by excuse.
And now the sin is born.
It Looks Small at First
Just a moment.
Just a look.
Just a lie.
Just a click.
Just a night.
But sin never stays small.
You Think You’re Still in Control
You’re not.
The birth changes everything.
Sin is alive now.
And it’s growing.
It Wrecks What It Touches
Trust is broken.
Innocence is lost.
Fellowship is fractured.
Guilt floods in.
Shame follows close.
What felt exciting
now feels empty.
The Pleasure Is Brief — The Consequences Linger
Sin always over-promises.
And always under-delivers.
It gives you a moment…
then steals your peace.
David Saw It Too Late
He looked.
He lingered.
He acted.
And after Bathsheba?
“The thing that David had done displeased the Lord.” — 2 Samuel 11:27
Adultery.
Deceit.
Murder.
Cover-up.
All started with one glance.
When Sin Is Born, It Doesn’t Hide
It wants more.
It spreads.
It multiplies.
One lie leads to another.
One cover-up demands more.
One indulgence opens more doors.
You Tell Yourself It’s Isolated
But it’s not.
Sin is never satisfied.
“Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied,
and never satisfied are the eyes of man.” — Proverbs 27:20
What Was Conceived in the Dark…
Now makes itself known.
In your habits
In your attitude
In your relationships
In your walk with God
The rot surfaces.
And people notice.
Sin Never Stays in the Shadows
It starts quiet.
It ends loud.
The longer you hide it,
the deeper it grows.
The more you excuse it,
the more power it takes.
Now You’re Numb
What once brought conviction
now brings convenience.
You don’t feel the guilt like you used to.
Because sin has been born—
and you’re raising it.
Still Not Too Late to Kill It
It’s harder now—
but not impossible.
Sin is alive,
but it doesn’t have to live.
“If by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body,
you will live.” — Romans 8:13
Confess It. Don’t Coddle It.
“Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper,
but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.” — Proverbs 28:13
Sin born in secrecy
must be killed in the light.
This Is Where Many Fall Deeper
You gave birth to sin.
Now it wants to grow.
If you don’t deal with it now—
it will mature.
And its end is death.
The Enemy Claps While You Collapse
Satan’s goal was never one sin.
It was your destruction.
This was just the beginning.
Don’t Feed What’s Killing You
You can’t tame sin.
You can’t manage sin.
You must kill it.
Summary
Sin has now been born.
What was inward is now outward.
It damages.
It multiplies.
It lies.
You can still turn.
But you must act now.
Before it grows.
