Sin Becomes Habit

Lesson 6: Growth — When Sin Matures and Takes Over
“Sin, when it is fully grown, brings forth death.” — James 1:15
Sin Was Born... Now It Grows
Sin doesn’t stay a baby.
It doesn’t stay private.
It doesn’t stay manageable.
It grows.
You Think You’re Still in Control
But now sin controls you.
You shaped the habit.
Now the habit shapes you.
You Feed It… It Feeds on You
Every compromise is a calorie.
Every secret feeds the monster.
It’s growing — and you feel it.
In your thoughts.
In your attitude.
In your cravings.
You Feel the Shift
It’s harder to pray.
Harder to repent.
Harder to care.
Sin numbs you.
Then it owns you.
At First You Fell Into It
Now you run to it.
It’s not an accident anymore.
It’s a pattern.
A cycle.
A stronghold.
Now You Justify What You Once Resisted
“It’s not that bad.”
“Everyone struggles with something.”
“God understands.”
You’ve stopped fighting.
You’ve started defending.
You Start Tolerating What God Hates
And hating what once convicted you.
This is the fruit of grown sin.
Like Cancer in the Soul
It spreads.
Your heart grows cold.
Your conscience grows dull.
Your joy withers.
Your worship dies.
Your boldness fades.
Sin Grows in Silence
Unconfessed = fertilized.
Unchallenged = strengthened.
Unrepented = empowered.
“A little leaven leavens the whole lump.” — Galatians 5:9
You didn’t stop it.
You fed it.
Now It’s Part of You
Your identity.
Your habits.
Your lifestyle.
Sin isn’t something you did.
It’s who you’re becoming.
This Is the Danger Zone
People still think you’re okay.
You can fake it.
But your soul knows.
God knows.
And the end is getting close.
Growth Isn’t Always Loud
Sometimes it’s quiet.
Respectable.
Religious.
But sin doesn’t need chaos to kill you.
Just time.
The Lie? You’ll Fix It Later
No, you won’t.
Sin isn’t easier to kill tomorrow.
It’s stronger tomorrow.
The longer you wait,
the more it owns.
God Is Still Merciful
Even now.
But repentance must be real.
Not just guilt.
Not just fear.
Repentance that kills the sin.
Sin Will Take You Farther Than You Meant to Go
It’s not satisfied.
It wants more.
More of your mind.
More of your time.
More of your relationships.
More of your soul.
And It’s Almost Full Grown
James says,
“When it is fully grown…”
You’re approaching the end.
This is not a phase.
This is a crisis.
Kill It Before It Kills You
You don’t counsel sin.
You don’t negotiate.
You crucify it.
“Put to death what is earthly in you…” — Colossians 3:5
Summary
Sin doesn’t stop at birth.
It matures.
It multiplies.
It rewires your heart.
It weakens your will.
It prepares you for death.
It won’t stay where you put it.
It always wants more.
